Julie Plante MD

Julie Plante, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Redwood Empire Dermatology in Healdsburg, California. She specializes in general, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. 

Dr. Plante was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California, and graduated from Montgomery High School as valedictorian. She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate degree and medical school. She continued on to the University of California, San Francisco, and completed residencies in both pediatrics and dermatology. 

Dr. Plante has a particular interest in complementary and alternative medicine and tries to include these treatment modalities in her patients' care plans when desired. A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and the Sonoma-Mendocino-Lake Medical Association, Dr. Plante also serves as a volunteer educator of family practice resident physicians. She is on staff at the Healdsburg District Hospital. 

She has received various research grants, has published her work in multiple medical journals, and presented at national medical conferences. 

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Plante enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her husband and daughters.
