Our online scheduler allows patients to self-schedule medical dermatology visits, telehealth visits, cosmetic consults and surgical consults. See below for further explanation of visit types.
In network plans: Anthem BC, Blue Shield of CA, Cigna, HealthComp, Healthnet, Interplan (Healthsmart), Medicare, RR Medicare, Meritage Medical Network (IPA), St Josephs Health Medical Network (IPA), Sutter Medical Group (IPA), Tricare West (HN) NON Cert, and UHC.
Please Note: If you have a HMO, prior authorization is needed before scheduling an appointment with us otherwise your visit will not be considered a covered service by your insurance. Ex: Sutter, Providence-St Joes (Scan), and Meritage insurance.
WE DO NOT PARTICIPATE with Kaiser, Anthem Blue Cross EPO and All Pathway PPO's including EPO and EXPO. If you have any questions about our participation with your insurance plan, please call us or your insurance company before scheduling an appointment. If your plan requires a Referral to be seen by a Specialist, please obtain it from your Primary Doctor prior to your visit.
• Medical dermatology-regular office visit, covered through your medical insurance
• Telehealth – If you would like your appointment to be Telehealth rather than in-person, please include 1-3 quality photos of the condition that you would like to address (you may put these photos in the "Other Registration Documents" section of the registration form). A call or video chat will take place at the time of your visit. Best for already established patients.
• Cosmetic consultations are not covered by your medical insurance and are a flat rate of $100. During the visit transparent pricing of any applicable procedures will be discussed and are separate from the consultation fee. Typically, the cosmetic service will be scheduled after the in person consult and same day treatment is the exception. Only cosmetic consultations can be scheduled online. Cosmetic treatment requires a phone call or in office scheduling.
• Surgical consults are medical office visits designed to evaluate the lesion under consideration. Note the procedure will be scheduled after the in person consult and aren't done the same day.
After scheduling an appointment, you will receive a registration link from eDerm. Login with the patient's last name and date of birth. If you didn't receive the email, please check your Spam Folder. If you are an established patient, you should see a "Welcome Back!" notice appear after validating your name and date of birth. If you do not see this even though you have been a patient of the practice, you will need to call the office otherwise a duplicate chart will be created.
