Christen Thompson, DCNP DCNP

Christen Thompson, DCNP, is a skilled dermatology certified nurse practitioner at Redwood Empire Dermatology in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, and Oakmont, California. Christen has worked exclusively in dermatology for over 20 years and joined Redwood Empire Dermatology in 2005.

She earned her bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and psychology from the University of California at San Diego. She then continued her education by graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Finally, she completed her graduate education with her nurse practitioner degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. She has set herself apart from her NP colleagues by passing a dermatology specific exam, and earning her DCNP credentials.

Christen provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancers, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and other skin disorders. She also treats aging skin and wrinkles, allergic contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, hair loss (balding), rosacea, seborrheic keratosis, and warts. In addition, she can perform biopsies for suspicious lesions and rashes and surgical excisions for cancerous lesions.
