Katie Given MD, PhD

Katherine Given, MD, PhD, MBA, is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer. With more than 4,000 Mohs procedures performed, Dr. Given brings extensive expertise in advanced surgical and reconstructive techniques, while also offering comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatology care.

In addition to skin cancer treatment, Dr. Given treats a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. She also provides cosmetic services such as injectables and laser treatments, helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin through personalized care.

Dr. Given earned her MD and PhD, along with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She currently serves on the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she teaches residents and fellows and remains actively involved in innovation, research, and medical education.

Known for her thoughtful and patient-centered approach, Dr. Given is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Outside of medicine, Dr. Given is an FAA-licensed pilot and enjoys flying in her free time.
